Bay Area Club 's purpose is to provide meeting places for our numerous Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Al-Anon Family Groups (AFG) and other 12 step recovery programs. Open 7
days a week, all meetings are non-smoking.

Bay Area Club has one of the most complete bookstores in Houston TX specializing in Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, 12 step and recovery related literature (in print and on audio). We also have greeting cards, jewelry, shirts, coffee cups and more. All proceeds go to support the club.

A.A. Preamble
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.
A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Al-Anon's Purpose:
To help families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living
with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. Similarly, Alateen is our
recovery program for young people. Alateen groups are sponsored by Al-Anon
members. Our
program of recovery is adapted from The
